Ferart Design creates design based solutions to issues of how we live in the world.

We focus on projects which make the world better. 

We work with you to do the deep thinking about what you are trying to achieve.  

Then we convert these into a reality.

Sometimes the outcomes are physical structures at others they are policy or processes.

Ferart Studio is where we show our creative output.  

This includes stories of the builds in which we are involved,  images of things that inspire us, and people from which we draw inspiration.

Since 1993 Ferart Design has been about finding design based solution. Working at the front-end of projects our aim is to taking them beyond being purely sustainable to becoming fully regenerative and productive.

In our projects we work at the interfaces of planning and design, community and environment, and business and innovation.

I have a particular focus on situations and challenges which are difficult, complex and require bespoke approaches to long term solutions.

My experience is in project design and management, regional and urban planning, community liaison, ecological engineering, international development, issues management, natural resource management, and policy.

We work on both urban and rural projects, nationally and internationally.  have been both local 

I am trained as an engineer, environmental scientist, have a Masters degree in sustainability and a Doctorate in design and sustainability.

Debbie Chambers

Since 2015 Ferart Studio has been linking art, personal and community wellbeing, and creative projects. We run exhibitions, public events, building projects,  community activations and workshops.

Our projects and events explore how we can reduce waste, create social networks, build economic opportunity, promote health and wellbeing, and enriching communities.

I’m trained as an occupational and mental health therapist using my creative and artistic skills in therapy services,  community development and public health.  I work in private practice, with community organizations and in the public sector.  This work takes me to urban, rural, remote and developing communities in Australia and overseas.

As an artist I trained in Visual Arts and completed a Masters degree researching how creativity builds community resilience and sustainability.
