The LADN Project is highly sustainable house build maximising the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle., while at the same time creating something of elegance and beauty. The project is located in Margaret River, Western Australia. The walkway shown in the image will hold solar panels, the timber was milled from dead trees on the property and the block work is made from cast lime sand from 5km away with a foam core made from discarded cool room panels. Insulating capacity of the blocks is rated at R2.8 which is suitable for the climate.
