Sustainability design framework for innovative urban development

Landcorp, the Western Australian Government’s land development agency developed WGV, state-of-the-art, sustainable urban development at White Gum Valley, in the City of Fremantle.   Ferart assisted Landcorp using the One Planet Living framework to guide the sustainability design of WGV. This project was endorsed by Bioregional as being of international standard, one of only sixteen projects world wide receiving this recognition.

Brief
The client had some very good initiatives and strong organisational commitment to creating a world leading sustainable urban development. Ferart Design used to One Planet framework to bring structure to the client’s development process.  Linkages to the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute built the research base to evaluate the performance of WGV as it was developed
