Repurposing Public Art 2

by | Dec 14, 2017 | Art, City, User Experience | 0 comments

And here is another fantastic example of repurposing public art – from Barcelona.  The outside the Museum of Contemporary Art is a large modernist courtyard and lumpy sculpture.  In the crowded streets of Barcelona there are not many spaces available for skaters who have taken to the area an repurposed it. Including using the sculpture as the most outrageous ramp.  Importantly this initiative by the skaters has created a point of interest for the surrounding caf├ęs which are doing a roaring trade.
